National Seminar on Emerging Blue Economy Sectors: Marine Energy, Infrastructures and Safety&Surveillance

Blue Economy and Innovation: a National Seminar for the Future of Emerging Sectors

Technological innovation and sustainability needs are reshaping the Blue Economy, creating new opportunities for SMEs and researchers in marine energy, maritime infrastructure, and safety at sea. What strategies and collaborations are needed to accelerate this transformation?

These questions will be at the core of the “National Seminar on Emerging Blue Economy Sectors: Marine Energy, Infrastructures and Safety & Surveillance”, organized by IMAST as part of the Interreg Italy-Croatia ECCENTRIC project. The seminar will take place online on March 11, 2025, from 9:15 AM to 1:00 PM. This strategic event will bring together experts, companies, researchers, and policymakers to outline new growth trajectories for three key Blue Economy sectors:

  • Marine Energy
  • Maritime Infrastructure
  • Maritime Safety & Surveillance

The event will provide a crucial platform for discussion on technological trends, emerging challenges, and opportunities for collaboration between research and industry. It will contribute to the development of strategic roadmaps to support ecological transition and the competitiveness of the maritime sector in the Adriatic area.

Through dedicated working groups, participants will analyze innovative solutions and sustainable development models, offering concrete recommendations to strengthen dialogue between academia, industry, and institutions.

The seminar is open to all Blue Economy stakeholders who wish to contribute, share ideas and expertise, and collaborate on innovative strategies to tackle the sector’s future challenges.
