Incoming Mission for knowledge transfer on Additive Manufacturing in Italy, Apulia

On December 10, 2024, Bari will host a major international event: the Incoming Mission dedicated to Additive Manufacturing, organized by IMAST as part of the Interreg IPA South Adriatic “AMTECH” project. This initiative aims to explore the potential of 3D printing in the aerospace, automotive, biomedical, and industrial sectors.

The Incoming Mission offers a unique opportunity to engage directly with leading companies in the field of Additive Manufacturing, such as the Joint Lab PoliBA-AVIO GE, SUPRE, and SOLIDWORLD. Participants will have the chance to observe cutting-edge applications of Additive Manufacturing and attend exclusive presentations by industry experts, learning how these technologies are already shaping the future of the industry.

The event is designed to enhance understanding of additive technologies and stimulate new collaborations among SMEs, researchers, and managers from public and private organizations. Through company visits and meetings with experts and industry operators, participants can share experiences, discuss practical applications of 3D printing, and develop innovative ideas for the future.

The Incoming Mission is part of the activities under the AMTECH project, funded by the Interreg IPA South Adriatic Program, involving Italy, Albania, and Montenegro. Following the success of the inaugural conference held in July 2024, the December event represents another step toward the dissemination of advanced technologies in SMEs, strengthening their global competitiveness.

IMAST, the Italian technological district for polymeric materials engineering, composites, and structures, continues its commitment to increasing the competitiveness of SMEs in the Interreg IPA South Adriatic area (Albania, Italy, and Montenegro). By adopting innovative technologies such as Additive Manufacturing, SMEs can improve existing products, develop new ones, and access new markets, facilitating the introduction of innovative ideas.

Participation is limited to 15 attendees from Albania, Montenegro, Molise, and Puglia. The event is open to economic operators, students, teachers, and managers of public-private bodies. The participation expenses will be managed by the hosting partner, IMAST.
