Exploring 3D Printing Innovations: Highlights from the AMTECH Project Opening Conference

Within the framework of the Interreg IPA South Adriatic cross-border cooperation programme, IMAST, as the lead partner of the AMTECH project, held the Opening Conference titled “Industrial 3D-Printing: Challenges and Opportunities in the IPA Area” on July 2nd in Bari.


The event provided participants with invaluable insights into the latest advancements in additive manufacturing technologies, showcasing developments from both public research institutions and private organizations. These presentations highlighted cutting-edge applications as well as advancements in traditional sectors.


Through interactive sessions and networking opportunities, participants and partners laid the groundwork for a collaborative action plan. This plan aims to enhance the technological and professional capabilities of SMEs within the IPA area.

The AMTECH project aims to elevate the technological capabilities and R&D efforts of manufacturing companies in the Programme Area, fostering a cross-border technology district between Italy, Montenegro, and Albania. This project will enhance access to knowledge, engineering skills, and production capacity for local SMEs and supply chains.
